JOICO SMOOTH CURE Leaves Hair Smooth For Up To 72 Hours

Check out this youtube video which sums up my love for Joico's new addition to their product line. Shampoo and conditioner that are both sulfate free, and nearly eliminates frizz. It is intedend for coarse, dry or curly hair but I have found it isn't too heavy for hair that is finer, just not best on baby fine hair. It smells completely heavenly and lathers nicely which is a plus since most sulfate free shampoos don't!

A-line Bob One Of My Favorite Haircuts

A-line Bob
This is an a-line bob haircut I did on a client of mine, this is one of my absolute favorite haircuts to do. I think it can be a challanging cut for people sometimes because I see so many poorly done. I have taken a lot of extra cutting technique classes for this style to make sure that I know the best ways to customize to each head of hair so people have ease of styling and not as many bad hair days! I like this as a low maintenence option for people who don't want to spend too much time styling. It still gives you the feel of having longer hair in the front without having too much hair to deal with which cuts down on drying time. I think it looks good on fine hair as well as thick hair. If you have never had this haircut and are thinking of doing something a little different I encourage you to give it a try! There are many different ways you can have this customized for you and your personal style. Some a-line cuts have a lot more layering or are more textured, similar to this one
This client has extremely thick hair and she was looking for a cut that wouldn't be as time consuming. She wanted something trendy and age appropriate. It has a lot of short layers that were razor cut to give them a whispy look.

Upcoming Webinar

"Creative Color Made Easy" April 16th.

Webinars are a great way to stay up on education. This one will be hosted by a technical director from TIGI (They make bedhead and catwalk products). It will be covering new color techniques for spring 2012 color trends, teach me some easier vocab for translating the trends to clients, step by step application guides for how to acheive the looks that are in as well as some tips for the clients nervous to start coloring.

I am excited for this one. I will post what I thought about the webinar after I watch it on the 16th and post my nifty "certificate of participation" they give you for watching the webinar.

First Timer

This is my first attempt at blogging! I decided I wanted a place that my clients could read about all the fun tips, reviews, and ideas I have as well as just a general place for all things hair. I'm still so new to this blogging I hope I figure it out quickly and it actually works. Wish me luck!
